CBBF & OIF Partner For A Program To Offer Financial Assistance To People Living With OI

impact

With your help the CBBF has raised over $18 Million for research into the causes, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and eventual cure for Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI).  We’re proud to be a entirely volunteer based organization which has allowed 100% of the money we have raised to go directly to fund research grants and fellowships, and we can point to clear advancements with OI that are the result of our work.In addition to funding important research our mission includes supporting programs which improve the quality of life for people afflicted with OI.

To that end we are thrilled to support  a grant program to directly and immediately impact the lives of people affected by OI.  The CBBF and OIF are working together to provide direct assistance to people affected by OI to help ease the financial burden often associated with OI related needs.

The Impact Grant Program was created to improve the quality of life for people living with OI. This grant provides equipment to awarded individuals based on their level of financial need and urgency. In the past, awardees have received new wheelchairs, walkers, dental procedures, hearing aids, van modifications and many different types of adaptive equipment. Applications for an Impact Grant are reviewed once a year.

Applicants for the next group of grants can apply starting December, 2014. If you have any questions please call the OI Foundation at 301-947-0083 or send an email to [email protected].

You can make donations to specific grant applications here – or support our overall mission here.  Remember, we’re a 100% volunteer organization, so your 100% of your donations go to work for this cause!
